As you drive onto the property and the rolling hills come into view behind the modern structures that comprise INNESS’s shop and restaurant, you’ll immediately understand how this is a special place. The boutique hotel which opened just a few years ago features guest cabins, a farmhouse with rooms, a fantastic restaurant and bar, a golf course, tennis, and a world-class spa. In case the picture isn’t totally clear, you could plan a weekend in Accord and enjoy every minute without ever leaving INNESS.

Head over to Ollie’s for the best pizza outside of the city. You can cozy up in the courtyard on a sunny day or stay warm inside the restaurant with our favorite pepperoni pie in the area…and while some may be offended by this - the best side of ranch for your slice.
It’s a wonderful thing when you can stay at a hotel that you really don’t need to leave to optimize relaxation mode. The restaurant at the top of the hill at INNESS is serving up a delicious farm to table menu including a flatbread that changes our lives. This is the spot to sit and stay a while at…and order a martini or two!
Known equally for their fantastic ciders and Neapolitan pizzas, Westwind Orchard is a great stop for casual dinner in Accord. Westwind also has an inimitable farmstand which retails the best produce of the season alongside their housemade ciders and vinegars.

Fall in upstate means we’re probably going to enjoy at least one locally brewed beer at some point in the trip. For a visit to Accord, Arrowood Farms is the place to be. In addition to making some truly special brews (including a custom Lager for INNESS) Arrowood Farm also regularly has live music and movie nights to keep the vibes high!
Just outside of the INNESS restaurant is a tiny little cabin that has a secretly warm and cozy interior with a delicious spicy margarita. The indoor woodburning fireplace keeps the tiny bar at the perfect temp and welcomes you to settle into their big comfy couch for a round or two of Uno.
With not much coffee in the area, Black Dot is a haven in Stone Ridge making delicious cold brew’s and latte’s with coolstuff fave, Touchy Coffee Roasters. Come by early for pastries or hit them up during your afternoon slump before heading to Maplelawn Antiques just across the lawn.

This magical spot 15 minutes north of INNESS is a self proclaimed “art cafe” and it is just that! Shop for fresh produce, clothing and skincare…and order our favorite lunch of the trip (a perfect BLT and a cup of soup).
Every Upstate trip needs a farm visit. Saunderskill is serving up pantry staples inside, with pick your own pumpkins and apples outside. Don’t miss out on this quick highlight in the area!
An unassuming addition to main street, Accord Market is a hybrid between classic grocer, specialty shop, and farmstand. Anything that your pantry might be missing can be found here!
Spread across two antique out buildings is Maple Lawn Antiques. This shop is the rare exception where you can find great quality antique furniture and homegoods AND at a reasonable price. The selection is all thanks to owner Ron’s impeccable taste.
Located within the main building at INNESS is the sweetest market/hotel gift shop. Stocked with tons of INNESS merch alongside their favorites products by small makers. Think local maple syrup, wonderful smelling soaps and skincare and plenty of snacks.

We briefly mentioned the spa at INNESS above, but let’s go a bit deeper here. Beautifully designed and opened within the last year, this is one of the most luxurious spa experiences we’ve ever had. From the treatment rooms to the soft finishes surrounding the indoor pool, spending a day here is a must while in Accord.
Just a few miles south of Accord lies one of the state’s best preserved preserves..Minnewaska State Park. Full of elevation, trails, and lakes, Minnewaska is a great place to ground yourself and reconnect with nature before you return to pounding the NYC pavement.
Throughout the Catskills, some of our favorite hiking are the rails to trails paths. Taking advantage of paths cleared through the forest decades ago, the rail trail paths are a great example of infrastructure reuse that also offer a more entry level hiking experience for city novices like ourselves.
Whenever we visit a place we try to work our way to the talk of the town…and during our time in Accord, everyone’s lips mentioned the fountain of youth. While no one would outright give us details, we did the hard work to track it down. At the intersections of Cherrytown Road and Upper Cherrytown Road (we are not making this up) lies a nearly impossible to spot spigot which never turns off. 24/7 this water source distributes gallons upon gallons of natural spring water that inspires locals to line up with empty jugs to fill. Local legend has it the most recent owner of the property passed just shy of 100 years old.
